9114     MUSIC FROM WELLS CATHEDRAL  Diane Bish plays the cathedral organ of Wells Cathedral in Somerset, England.  Sights include beautiful pools of water, surrounding scenery and moments from the annual children's dance festival held on the green of the cathedral.  Music includes:  Hurford "Litany to the Holy Spirit," Starford "A Song of Wisdom," Pierne "Toccata," Fletcher "Toccata," David German "Trumpet Tune," Handel "Largo," and "Bell Symphony."

9213    MUSICAL JOURNEY OF ENGLAND PART II  Diane Bish continues her journey through England with stops at York Cathedral, Lincoln Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, and Epworth, the birthplace of the Wesleys, founders of Methodism.  Music includes:  Elgar "Pomp and Circumstance No. 3," Bach "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," Handel "Overture from Royal Fireworks Music," Boellmann "Toccata from Suite Gothique," S. Wesley "Gavotte," and great Wesley hymns.

2402 SIGHTS & SOUNDS OF ENGLAND – GLOUCESTER Diane visits the Gloucester Cathedral where she is joined by the Cathedral Choristers.  Sights of the surrounding area are seen and Band Dancers perform outside the Cathedral.  Music includes: H. Purcell “Trumpet Tune”;  Simon Lindley “Ave Maria”; J. S. Bach  “Hark, A Voice Saith All Are Mortal”; D. Bedard “Toccata”;   J. S. Bach “In Thee is Gladness”; G. F. Handel “Thanks Be to Thee”; and Wesley “O For a Thousand Tongues”.

2403 MUSICAL VISIT TO WALES   Diane visits the small town of St. David at the largest church in Wales where she is joined by the St. David’s Cathedral Choir.  Diane also visits Cardiff with its magnificent Cardiff Castle.  Music includes: D Bedard “Introduction & Fugue”; T. Salomé  “Grand Choeur”; J. P. Rameau/Bish “Mussette”;  “All Through the Night” and is joined by the choir in C. v. Stanford “Nunc Dimittis in C” and H. Balfour Gardiner “Te Lucis Ante Terminu”.

2404  SIGHTS & SOUNDS OF ENGLAND – COVENTRY  Diane visits Coventry with it’s ruins of St. Michael’s Cathedral contrasted to the magnificent rebuilt cathedral.  Shakespeare’s birthplace is another of the sights visited. She is joined by the Coventry Cathedral Childrens Choir in George Dyson’s “Let All the World” and Mendelssohn’s “Then Shall the Righteous Shine”, S. Karg-Elert’s “Selig Sind Die Da Leid Tragen”.  Diane plays solo pieces:  Belier’s “Toccata” , G. F. Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus”, and  Handel/Bish “Allegro” and Macdowell “To A Wild Rose”.
